Each tiled box is a room it has walked into, with five doors along the bottom. Lit corridors are doors it opened; the dashed boxes marked ? are rooms behind the doors it hasn't tried yet. The stone walls are scenery: the real maze never ends.

- Takes the door in the same spot every time (the names change from room to room) and heads straight down.
- Explorer
- Opens several doors on each level before going deeper.
- Wanderer
- Picks a door in a different spot each time, one room per level.
